The River

Beyond the dusk

the war came to an end,

yet the river

kept flowing the same.

The ashes of

lost hopes and dreams,

became the embers

shining through the darkness.

The last man standing

quenched his thirst

healed his wounds,

by embracing the river

as his guardian angel.

Paradise

Looking out the window

Gazing into the future,

No attention to mental fracture.

Each step closer to silent rupture.

Distant lights begin to glow,

Hearts beat fast, yet moments slow.

Train pulls into station Paradise,

Echoing with homeless cries.

Ghosts arise from memories old,

Truths forgotten, never told.

Modern wisdom: silence — gold.

"Here's some change, ease your plight,"

Keep revolution out of sight.

Coins dropped, glances away,

Buys yet another quiet day!

Eden

You were a unicorn

I was a weary man.

Met at destiny’s crossroads;

I was hell bound,

Envying your flight to heaven.

Like a drowning sailor

Grasping for a last straw;

I reached for you;

An act of last hope!

Finally reaching

The Garden of Eden.

Only to fall,

After trying an apple!

Jasmine

The tall grasses and wildflowers

dance with the wind,

greeting you with enthusiasm.

There you are, smiling

radiant as the summer morning sun.

I stood still, like a newborn sapling,

my roots are frozen

by the warmth of your irises.

Though you were far,

you reached into my heart and cradled it

and that’s how my knees gave way,

gently... weakly.

You... are beautiful... dauntingly.

Flutter

O butterfly,

How do you do,

In a world full of

Spiders too.

Relentless fluttering

Across seasons;

To keep up with

Blooming flowers,

Citizen of Prison.

Cycle of life

Hope and Despair

Everyone's hiding

Their secret affair!

"Why do you live?"

You often inquire,

For love of nectar,

The task you aspire.

Love

I was wandering

aimlessly.

Staring at the rear-view mirror

anxiously.

Cosmic dread pursuing me

relentlessly.

Yet, fate united us

miraculously.

The dark sky cleared

effortlessly.

Let me live in your heart

timelessly.
